For 2010’s User Interface conference, we created a wonderful new design that is bright, engaging, clear, and rather contrasting with past UI conference site designs. Working with Jenna Marino’s creative logo—did you notice that the number ‘5’ and ‘UI’ are interchangeable when rotated 90 degrees?—and Jason Robb’s wonderful sketches from his time spent at UI14, we were able to provide an attractive package that does the job well.
Not long ago, Jared Spool, founder of User Interface Engineering, wrote this message on his Twitter account: “UI15 registrations has exceeded UI14’s total attendance. We still have 2+ months. Definitely will sell out.” (source) Additionally, Jared describes a doubling of sign-up rates in his blog post, Help Me Solve A Mystery.
Is the website partly to blame? We certainly hope so!
Lets give credit where credit is due:
- Jenna Marino, of Hanerino, Inc., made the fantastic UI15 logo
- Jason Robb made the wonderful background sketches
